Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Systems Engineer to repair, install, and maintain intruder alarms, access control systems, warden call systems, communal aerials, and CCTV equipment. All work must comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and industry standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service and install door entry, warden call, automatic door/gate systems, CCTV (including IP/networked), and intruder alarms.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on the above systems.
  • Ensure all aspects of access control/CCTV works, including tests, inspections, and compliance checks, adhere to current British Standards.
  • Report daily to the supervisor/manager on the status of all works and advise on time-scale or resource issues in good time.
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.

Person Specification

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a background in social housing or local authority maintenance.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card.
  • Preferably have experience with manufacturers such as ISM, GDX, ENTROTEC, SML, PAC, KMS, RECORD, GEZE, GALAXY, TEXECOM (training will be provided).
  • Possess strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Be self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Be capable of working both individually and as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Full UK driving licence.
