Our client is a leading M & E organisation in the Southwest, who works closely with local authorities and housing association providing a high standard of Gas, Plumbing, Heating, Electrical and Renewable services. Join Our Client, a well-established service, maintenance, and installation company with over 30 years of experience. Our client work on various contracts for Housing Associations and Private Domestic customers. Our client are looking to expand our team with a domestic gas service/repair engineer who has experience or is willing to upskill in renewables. You will need to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions while knowing when to seek support.
JOB PURPOSE
- Complete Landlord Gas Safety inspections and gas appliance servicing at private and social housing properties.
- Conduct reactive maintenance on all types of boilers and heating systems.
- Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and industry standards, including risk assessments.
- Be flexible with working hours, participate in a call-out rota, and work overtime when needed.
- Manage the company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and stocked.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in domestic heating systems, fault finding, and central heating controls.
- Proven track record of high-level customer service and respect for customers' properties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Accredited Certification Scheme including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1.
- UHWSS (G3 Unvented Hot Water systems).
- Knowledge of essential system controls, electrics, and basic heating wiring.
- General IT skills for completing work-related documentation, possibly using an iPad.
- Clean driving license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience with heat pumps (air & ground source) and solar thermal systems.
- Experience with underfloor heating systems.
- DASHP (BPEC Level 3 domestic air source heat-pumps).
- DGSHP (BPEC Level 3 domestic ground source heat-pumps).
- STHWS (BPEC Level 3 solar thermal hot water systems).
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- OFTEC (OFT10-101, OFT10-105E, OFT10-600a).
- 17/18th Edition or Part P electrical qualifications.

SALARY/BENEFITS
- £38,000 – £42,000 per year
- 30 paid holidays plus including B/H's (8)
- Company Van + Fuel Card
