About the Role
As part of the Facilities Management Team, you will take on a crucial role in delivering a variety of planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance tasks. The position involves general building fabric and grounds-related works such as joinery, tiling, minor roofing and guttering, drainage, flooring, paving, and more, as directed through the company’s Helpdesk system.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality maintenance services to a wide range of clients, maintaining strong attention to detail and commitment to best practices.
Use initiative to resolve technical challenges, source parts, and liaise with manufacturers as needed.
Ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes, meeting safety regulations and contract standards.
Complete accurate reporting, maintenance logs, and risk control documentation.
Use electronic devices (e.g., PDAs) to manage and record job completion.
Maintain close communication with the Helpdesk and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
Carry out point-of-work risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients on site.
Participate in the on-call rota for emergency response across contracts.
About You
Essential Skills & Qualifications
NVQ or equivalent in building maintenance
Understanding of maintenance operations within facilities or construction
Strong communication skills across various stakeholder levels
Ability to complete admin tasks accurately and on time
