If like us here at Project Start Recruitment you are counting down the days, minutes and even seconds to get back into the 9-5 routine you will not have to wait much longer! Mark the 29th of March in your diary as the day of freedom, freedom from remote working that is.
STEP 1
CHANGES ON 29th MARCH
The roadmap out of lockdown suggested the ‘stay at home’ rule will end on 29th March, but many restrictions will remain in place. Although it is advised that people should continue to work from home where they can and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible – SOME businesses have decided to take extra precautions wanting their staff back in the office where productivity is high.
Here at Project Start Recruitment, we have decided to make that professional jump and safeguard our Yate office to make our consultants and other members of staff feel safe against the spread of COVID. In the office, we have hand sanitising stations, a two-meter rule meaning that our sales consultants are sat at a distance from one another, face coverings (when needed) and we have a regular cleaner who comes in making sure the space is thoroughly cleaned.
Apart from work, social contact has lifted slightly, outdoor gatherings of either 6 people (the rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed to meet up outside – meaning that we are one step closer to seeing our friends and family.
STEP 2
CHANGES ON 12th APRIL
3 more weeks until hairdressers open lads & ladies, you will also see the opening of non-essential retail and gyms.
Good news for everyone, including recruitment agencies – hospitality venues will be allowed to serve people outdoors and there will be no need to order a substantial meal with alcoholic drinks, with the best part of step 2 being no curfew. It is key to note that you must order while seated (table service) and wider social contact rules will apply to prevent indoor mixing between households.
STEP 3
NOT BEFORE 17th MAY
The government will look to continue easing limits on seeing friends and family wherever possible, allowing people to decide on the appropriate level of risk for their circumstances.
Meaning that most legal restrictions on meeting others outdoors will be lifted, so indoor meeting in pubs, cinemas, hotels, theatres, football stadiums and international travel can resume. We cannot wait to have a drink with the team celebrating our Project Start achievements.
STEP 4
NOT BEFORE 21st JUNE
It is official… we have 14 Mondays until the government hopes to remove all legal limits on social contact!
We are almost there; we are so close to a future that feels more familiar.

Here at Project Start, we hope you are keeping all safe and well, we are hopeful to have a normal summer this year – let’s stay hopeful together.
