JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service and Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive air conditioning maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Identify and rectify faults and malfunctions in HVAC systems, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Perform diagnostic tests on cooling systems to detect and resolve issues.
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Install air conditioning units and related equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Commission new systems, ensuring they are fully operational and meet client requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the installation phase.
- Repair and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns in air conditioning systems, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Replace defective components and parts, ensuring the system's integrity and reliability.
- Use appropriate tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Commercial Projects:
- Work on various commercial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, hotels, and industrial facilities.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and safety regulations.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Educate clients on system operations, maintenance tips, and energy efficiency practices.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and installation documentation.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues encountered, and actions taken.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards in all documentation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in air conditioning technology and industry best practices.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve service delivery and system performance.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in servicing, repairing, and installing air conditioning systems, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF, chillers, and AHUs.
- Certifications: F-Gas certification and other relevant qualifications.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Driving License: Valid UK driving license required for travel to various project sites.
