COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our long-standing manufacturing client in Bolton are looking for a team of experienced Assembly Operatives to join their busy production growing team. They cover manufacturing projects for the nuclear, oil and gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water industries and so the work is varied and complex at times.

JOB PURPOSE

Our client are looking for a reliable and practical Semi-Skilled Production / Assembly Operative to support the manufacture and final preparation of its products.

To support the production and assembly of products, working at a semi-skilled level and ensuring products are completed to the required quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Assemble and re-assemble products in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Use stock parts and materials, including fitting insulation materials.
• Fit custom components using hand tools.
• Complete products to a standard suitable for final delivery to the end user.
• Complete product documentation in line with project requirements.
• Carry out manual handling duties when required.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Report any potential risks, hazards or defects to supervisors.
• Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role and grade.

Essential

• Experience using small hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and follow fitting instructions, standard operating procedures and general assembly drawings.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision within a production/re-assembly team.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.

Desirable

• Experience in steel manufacture or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• FLT driving experience with an appropriate licence.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary: £15 per hour

Duration: 3 Months

Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4pm / Friday 7.30am – 12pm
